SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Nevada Men's Tennis suffered its first loss of the 2026 season Friday night, falling 6-1 at Cal Poly.
The Mustangs (3-1) took the doubles point with narrow victories at Nos. 2 and 3. At No. 2, the Pack's tandem of
Rayen Hermassi and
Axel Huysmans dropped a 7-6 (2) tiebreaker to Jack Cross and Sean Kamyshev, which gave Cal Poly the first point.
Singles did not go well for Nevada (4-1). Cal Poly's Aaron Eliscu got the Mustangs' second point with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Recoura at No. 6, then straight-sets victories at Nos. 5, 3, then 4 clinched the match.
Rémy Trégourès picked up the only singles win for Nevada, taking a third-set tiebreaker, 10-8.
Nevada remains in San Luis Obispo for a neutral-court match with LMU Saturday at 2 p.m.
