RENO, Nev. - Nevada skipper Jordan Getzelman picked up the first two wins of his head-coaching career Saturday as the Wolf Pack swept the doubleheader against Utah Valley with wins of 7-4 and 9-5.

Jacob Doyle went a combined 3-for-5 with four RBIs and two doubles, the first of those clearing the bases and breaking open the first game as the Pack took a 5-1 lead.

Six different Wolf Pack players drove in at least one run in the second game, with Jackson Waller and Jake Harvey each with a triple.

Starter Alessandro Castro went 5.2 innings of one-run ball in the opener to pick up his first win of the campaign.

Nevada (2-3) hosts the Wolverines (2-4) in the series finale Sunday at 11 a.m.

Nevada 7, Utah Valley 4
Trailing 1-0 early, Nevada took advantage of an early Utah Valley error to tie it up in the third before breaking it open with three runs in the fourth.

Sam Kane put the Pack ahead with an RBI double driving in Noah Blythe. After Waller walked to load the bases, Doyle sent a Colton Kennedy offering into left-center for a bases-clearing double, putting the Pack up 5-1.

That was all the support Alessandro Castro would need, as he scattered six hits and gave up just one run over 5.2 innings. Eddie Tierney would get the final out of the sixth before handing it off to Mahiro Tomita, who went the final three innings for the save.

A two-run throwing error from the Wolverines put Nevada up 7-1 in the eighth, before Utah Valley added three runs in the ninth.

Rominic Quiban went 2-for-4, accounting for two of the Pack's six hits in the game.

Nevada 9, Utah Valley 5
The Wolf Pack finished the sweep of the doubleheader with a game comeback from an early 4-0 deficit.

Utah Valley got runs in the first and second, and two more in the third, against Nevada starter Aidan Brainard. But Brainard did well to settle down and grind his way through five innings before the Wolf Pack offense got going.

Nevada had just one hit through the first four innings against Wolverine starter Jacob Heppner before the bats woke up thanks to back-to-back doubles down the line in left from Sam Kane and Jackson Waller to get on the board to start the fifth.

Walks to Jacob Doyle and Junhyuk Kwon loaded the bases with two out for Sean Yamaguchi, who went inside-out to send a 3-1 offering from reliever Quinn Holt past first base and down the line. The single scored Doyle and Kwon to bring the Pack within one at 4-3.

Utah Valley got its lead back to two on Mason Hamlin's solo homer in the seventh, but Nevada quickly answered and took the lead in the bottom half. Doyle singled to lead things off followed by a walk to Harvey, setting up Jayce Dobie's RBI double to make it 5-4. That set up Kwon's go-ahead single up the middle, scoring Harvey and Dobie to make it 6-5.

Nevada added three insurance runs in the eighth as the Reno twilight played a key role. Utah Valley centerfielder Kaden Carpenter lost two straight balls off the bat, the first turning into Waller's RBI triple, and the second turning into a Doyle RBI double to make it 8-5. Doyle scored the final run on Harvey's triple the opposite way down the line in right.

Eric Valdez struck out five over two innings of relief to pick up the win, while Ryan Oakes and Andres Castro each went a scoreless inning of work.
