Nevada Softball Closes Out Day Two of the Littlewood Classic

TEMPE, Ariz. — Nevada closed out the second day of the Littlewood Classic with a split on Saturday, responding to a morning setback against Indiana with a dominant shutout victory over Pacific at Farrington Stadium.

With the win, Nevada moved to 5–4 on the season and 2–2 on the weekend, carrying momentum into the final day of tournament play in Tempe where they will face Indiana for a second time at 9 a.m. PT February 15.

Indiana 6, Nevada 3
The Pack opened the day with a 6–3 loss to Indiana, battling back late with a pair of seventh‑inning runs but unable to overcome the Hoosiers' early surge. Nevada collected seven hits in the contest, highlighted by multi‑hit efforts from Madison Clark (2-for-3, BB) and Saige Alfaro (1-for-3, RBI). Anna Braukus added an RBI single in the seventh, while Rylie Haith sparked the final frame with a leadoff double. In the circle, Ainsley Berlingeri and Tess Bumiller combined to hold Indiana to six hits, with Bumiller allowing just one run over 3.1 innings of relief.

Nevada 5, Pacific 0
Nevada bounced back with a complete performance in the afternoon, shutting out Pacific 5–0 behind Talia Tretton, who tossed a four-hitter with one strikeout and three walks. The Pack broke the game open with a five‑run fourth inning, powered by back‑to‑back home runs from Tretton and Hannah Di Genova, who drove in three runs on the day. Haylee Engelbrecht added a double and scored, while Anna Braukus delivered a two‑out RBI to cap the decisive frame. Nevada played clean defense behind Tretton, committing just one error and stranding seven Pacific runners.
