Nevada hits the road to face Utah State Wednesday night

RENO, Nev. - After winning 92-83 against Wyoming on Saturday night, Nevada is going on the road to face the Utah State Aggies on Wednesday, Jan 14, at 7 pm.
Nevada fans can watch the matchup on CBS Sports Network with Dave Ryan (play-by-play) and John Henson (analyst) on the call.
The radio broadcast can be heard on 95.5 KNEV in Reno and through the Varsity Network App, featuring John Ramey and Nick Fazekas.

ABOUT UTAH STATE
Utah State (14-1, 5-0 MW) is coming off a statement win of 93-68 against Boise State (9-7, 1-4 MW) on Saturday night at ExtraMile Arena to remain undefeated in Mountain West play.
This was the largest-ever win in Boise, and the second-largest overall for the Aggies.
Utah State was led by MJ Collins Jr. with a game-high of 25 points. This was Collins Jr.'s ninth 20-plus point game of the year and his 10th leading the team's offense.
Mason Falslev also made his impact after putting in 16 points along with a team-best of nine rebounds, five assists, three steals, and a block.
As a team, Utah State shot 57 percent from the floor, 44 percent from 3-point range, and 76 percent from the line.
MJ Collins led the conference with 307 points (20.5 per game) while Mason Falslev is leading the steals category (40, 2.67 per game).

LAST TIME OUT
After five players scoring in the double digits, Nevada earned a 92-83 win against Wyoming on Saturday night at Lawlor Events Center.
Corey Camper Jr. and Elijah Price set career-highs in points to lead the offense against the Cowboys. Camper Jr. scored 31 points along with seven rebounds, while Price put in 20 and secured 13 boards. Both players also made efforts on the defensive end, protecting the rim with two and three blocks, respectively.
Tayshawn Comer also had his first double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 assists, while also recording zero turnovers. Peyton White and Amire Robinson also came out big off the bench, finishing with 10 points each.
The Pack outscored Wyoming in the paint (38-32) and finished shooting 61 percent from the field, 63 percent from three, and 83 percent from the line.

ELIJAH PRICE NAMED OLD TRAPPER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
After helping lead Nevada to a victory over Wyoming, Elijah Price was named the Old Trapper Mountain West Player of the Week.
Price against SDSU and Wyoming averaged 18.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, in addition to knocking down 90 percent of his free throw attempts. He also averaged 2.5 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks across both games to help the Pack.
The Long Beach, Calif. native recorded double-double games against San Diego State, with 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Wyoming with 20 points and 13 rebounds. In the game against the Cowboys, Price set a new career-high in points.

FRESHMAN SPARK
Nevada's freshmen keep making an impact on the team to help the Pack secure wins this season.
Peyton White has entered all 16 games so far this season, averaging 16.9 minutes per contest. The freshman recorded a career high of 15 points against UC Davis on Nov. 18 and nine rebounds against UC San Diego on Dec. 2.
Ethan Croley recorded a double-double (11 points and 10 rebounds) in the win against San Francisco on Nov. 28. Croley's performance was the program's first since Darrion Williams against New Mexico in 2023.
Myles Walker has also made an impact in the backcourt of the offense for the Pack. The freshman has 25 assists, 31 points, and 13 rebounds of its own. On the defense, Walker has 12 steals in 14 games played.

NEVADA'S DEPTH
Nevada's depth has been a key factor in its success this season, as it consistently brings energy to both sides of the ball.
The Pack now has a 6-3 record, with more bench points than its opponents this season.

PRICE ON THE GLASS
Elijah Price continues to protect the rim and be at the top of the Mountain West in multiple categories. After his new career high and a double-double against Wyoming, Price's 138 total rebounds rank first in the Mountain West.
The redshirt sophomore is second in offensive rebounds per game (3.13) and blocks (29, 1.81 per game
His 19-rebound game on November 12, 2025, set a new career high and stands as one of the top rebounding games in program history.
Price's effort is now the best single-game rebounding performance by a Nevada player under head coach Steve Alford and the most by any Pack player since Cameron Oliver grabbed 21 boards against UNLV on Feb. 20, 2016.

LEADING THE PACK
Tayshawn Comer continues to set the pace for the Pack offense. With 61 assists, Comer is the top scorer of the Pack with 223 points (13.9 per game).
The senior also reached milestones this season, with a career high for three-pointers made with four in six attempts at Washington State on Dec. 7, 2025. Comer also reached his career high in free throws against Boise State on Dec. 20, 2025, with 13-for-14 made.
The Indianapolis, Ind. native has also made an impact in the Pack defense, adding 16 steals and a block of his own.

PACK IN THE RANKINGS
Nevada remains among the Mountain West and the country's best across several statistical categories.
The Pack ranks third in the Mountain West in blocks per game (4.3).
Nevada leads the conference and is sixth in the country in free throws made per game (20.3). The Pack is also second in the conference and 13th in the nation for free-throw attempts per game (26.9)

EFFICIENCY IS KEY
Nevada has been tremendous at taking care of the ball this season, as the Pack has a combined 142 turnovers through 16 games.
The Pack ranks fourth in the nation in fewest turnovers per game (8.9), and the Pack has had 10 or fewer turnovers in 13 of 16 games this season.
