Box Score Riverside, Calif. – Nevada Women's Soccer came up short Sunday night, falling 2-0 to California Baptist in a tightly contested non-conference road matchup at CBU Soccer Stadium.
The Wolf Pack outshot the Lancers but couldn't find the finishing touch. CBU made the most of their chances, scoring once in each half to secure the win. Nevada's attacking unit pressed forward throughout the match, creating multiple opportunities, but the Pack were unable to convert.
Goalkeeper Mia Collins delivered another solid performance in net, helping keep the game within reach with several key saves. Despite the result, Nevada showed grit and determination on both ends of the pitch.
The Wolf Pack now return home to Mackay Stadium for their next matchup on Thursday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m., when they host Pacific in another non-conference showdown.
