Long Beach, Calif.  – Nevada Women's Soccer faced a tough road test Thursday night, falling to Long Beach State in a non-conference matchup at George Allen Field.
The Beach struck early, building a 2-0 lead in the first half while outshooting the Wolf Pack 13-2. Nevada goalkeeper Mia Collins held strong in net, recording six saves in the opening 45 minutes to keep her team within reach.
In the second half, Long Beach added four more goals to extend their advantage. Nevada continued to battle and pushed forward to create opportunities, but came up just short of finding the back of the net.
The Wolf Pack now shift their focus to their next matchup on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m., when they travel to Riverside, Calif., to take on California Baptist.
