COLLEGE STATION, Texas -Â Nevada Track & Field wrapped action at the NCAA West First Round in College Station, Texas, as
Meekness Dogonyaro and
Magdalene George competed.
Dogonyaro was up first for the Wolf Pack Saturday, in Flight 3 of Triple Jump. Dogonyaro posted a top jump of 13.18 meters, coming up just 0.24 of a meter of the 12th and final qualifying mark.
George returned for her second day of competition at the meet, running in the quarterfinals of both the 100 Meters and 200 Meters.
Running in the second heat of the 100 Meters, George clocked a time of 11.47 to take 23rd, 0.26 of a second off the final qualifying spot. Just over an hour later, she was back for the third heat of the 200 Meters quarterfinals. George crossed the line in 23.54 to take 21st, six-tenths of a second outside of qualifying for nationals.
Nevada will be represented at the 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships by
Lilly Urban, in Javelin. Urban will compete in the Javelin final Thursday, June 12, at 5:15 p.m. at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
