ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Nevada Softball continues its perfect streak of series wins in conference play, winning game two against New Mexico, 7-4. The Pack was powered by
Haylee Engelbrecht's first career multi-homer game.

New Mexico took an early lead with an RBI single in the first inning and a two-run homer in the second, taking a 3-0 lead after two innings.

The Pack quickly turned things around with a pair of homers in the third inning.
Aaliyah Jenkins hit her second homer of the weekend into the left-field bleachers, scoring
Madison Clark. Two batters later, Engelbrecht hit her first homer of the game to left field, tying the game.

After a tough first two innings,
Ainsley Berlingeri shut down the Lobo hitting, needing just 16 pitches to get through the third and fourth innings combined. Berlingeri's final four innings saw just three hits and a pair of walks with no runs allowed.

In the fourth inning, Jenkins walked to lead off the inning, followed by a first-pitch double by
Hannah Di Genova, scoring Jenkins. Engelbrecht followed with her second homer of the day, this time sending the ball to right center.

With the bases loaded in the sixth inning, Berlingeri got a groundout from the Lobos' No. 2 batter, ending New Mexico's biggest scoring opportunity.

After two outs to start the seventh,
Lexi O'Gorman walked in a 10-pitch at bat.
Haley Painter doubled to the left-center gap, scoring O'Gorman and extending the Nevada lead to four.

Hailey McLean entered to close the game for the Pack in the seventh inning. Despite allowing a solo home run, McLean did her job, sealing the Wolf Pack's 36
th win of the season.

Overall, Berlingeri pitched six innings, allowing six hits and three runs, two earned. She walked four but struck out five Lobos. McLean pitched the seventh, striking out the final batter of the game.

The hits were spread out for the Pack, with eight different batters tallying a hit. Engelbrecht's two-homer day led the Pack, along with
Maya Larsen's double and single. Di Genova and Painter each doubled, while Jenkins homered. M. Clark, O'Gorman, and
Bailie Clark each singled, bringing the Wolf Pack's total to 10 hits, the 18
th game in which Nevada has reached double-digit hits.

Nevada and New Mexico return for the series finale tomorrow at 10 a.m. PT/11 a.m. MT at Lobo Softball Field. The Pack are looking to secure a top two seed at the Mountain West Championships with a win or Fresno State loss on Sunday.
