RENO, Nev. – Wolf Pack hitters are all over the record books after Friday's historic offensive performance, which made for a thrilling 17-14 victory over Utah State. The Pack broke multiple records including 38 total bases and
Haylee Engelbrecht hitting four doubles.

Nevada jumped out to a 10-run lead after the first two innings, looking to run-rule the Aggies quickly.
Madison Clark got things going for the Pack with a single through the left side before stealing second.
Aaliyah Jenkins got her first hit of the day, singling up the middle and scoring Clark.
Hannah Di Genova followed with her sixth homer of the season, scoring three runs in three batters for the Pack.

Engelbrecht kept the inning going with her first of many doubles.
Lexi O'Gorman, fresh off her walk-off single from Thursday, stayed hot, scoring Engelbrecht on a sacrifice fly.

The Pack kept things going in the second with a Clark triple on a ground ball to the gap. Jenkins singled again to left field, scoring Clark again. Engelbrecht and
Maya Larsen each walked to load the bases for O'Gorman. In a 3-1 count, O'Gorman crushed a ball to right field, hitting the foul pole for a grand slam and her second career home run. Painter blooped a ball into right field before
Avery Cordell was hit by a pitch, putting Painter in scoring position. Clark singled up the middle, scoring Painter and giving the Pack a 10-0 lead.

Utah State flipped the momentum in the third inning, hitting four home runs, the most a Nevada staff has given up in a game since April 10, 2022. The seven-run inning included three consecutive home runs, the first time the Pack has given up back-to-back-to-back home runs since April 2, 2021, vs Utah State.

Engelbrecht led off the bottom of the third inning with her second double of the game. Larsen then singled up the middle to score Engelbrecht.

In the fourth inning, Jenkins doubled for her fourth hit of the game and her 200
th career hit, becoming the eighth player in Wolf Pack history to reach the mark. Jenkins's double set up a Di Genova RBI single to give Pack 12 runs. Engelbrecht followed Jenkins with a double down the left field line, her third double of the game.

The Aggies responded with three runs in the fifth inning, scoring off an Ariel Fifita sacrifice fly and Grace Matej's homer to right center field.

The Wolf Pack responded with five runs of its own in the bottom of the fifth, leading off with a Larsen double to the rightfield gap. O'Gorman tallied her sixth RBI of the game, switching places with Larsen on a double. O'Gorman's six RBI are a career high and tied for the third most in a game in Nevada history. Painter followed with her 13
th home run of the season, and first since the Boise State series, scoring two for the Pack. Engelbrecht capped off the inning with an RBI double, scoring Jenkins and
Bailie Clark, Engelbrecht's fourth double of the day a program record for single game doubles.

The Aggies wrapped up the game with a pair of two-run innings. Two RBI singles in the sixth made it a 17-12 game. A Kya Pratt homer to left field scored two more.
Jessica McPartland closed out her 2.1 inning save with a ground out to first and a flyout to right field, sealing the Pack's 17-14 victory.

The Pack pitching staff got equally tagged throughout the game.
Tess Bumiller pitched two hitless innings to start the game before Utah State homered three times, with a pair of hits on top of that.
Ainsley Berlingeri relieved Bumiller in the third inning. Berlingeri went 2.1 innings, giving up six hits and five runs, all of them earned. McPartland replaced Berlingeri after an Aggie homer. McPartland also pitched 2.1 innings, giving up six hits and four earned runs. McPartland struck out one batter and got the win.

Nevada hitters were lighting up the Utah State staff all day, with four players recording three or more hits in a game, with three others recording multiple hits. Jenkins and Engelbrecht led the way, each going four-for-four with a walk, the first two career five-on-base games for any players on the Wolf Pack roster. M. Clark finished the day with three hits, including a triple and an RBI. M. Clark also shined on the defensive side of the ball, with several great plays, logging two putouts and three assists. Larsen had a three-for-three day with a walk, her first career four-on-base game. O'Gorman finished with a pair of extra-base hits, including the second grand slam of the season for the Pack. Painter and Di Genova wrapped up the box score, with a pair of hits each, plus three RBI for Di Genova, and a pair of RBI and a walk for Painter.

Nevada and Utah State square off one more time tomorrow at noon for the series finale. The Pack maintains a 1.5 game lead on San Diego State and Fresno State and will look to clinch a spot in the Mountain West tournament tomorrow with a win vs Utah State or a loss from New Mexico or San José State.
