RENO, Nev. – Nevada Softball lost its series finale 14-4, giving up 13 runs in the fourth inning, the most in an inning since 2011.

Despite Nevada jumping out to a 4-1 lead through three innings, a flurry of walks and errors helped the Aggies score 13 runs on just four hits in the third inning.

Nevada started off the game with a Madison Clark single and an Aaliyah Jenkins walk, with Clark scoring on a double steal with Jenkins. Jenkins later scored on a Lexi O'Gorman single, her 10th RBI of the weekend, tied for the most in a three-game span since 2022.

The Pack added their two other runs with a Bailie Clark opposite field home run in the second and an error by the Utah State shortstop, allowing Jenkins to score after her lead-off double.

A sacrifice fly, two RBI walks, two RBI singles, an error, a passed ball, and a grand slam led the way for Utah State's historic inning. Kya Pratt hit the grand slam to cap off the inning, her fourth homer of the weekend.

M. Clark extended her hit streak to eight games with her lead-off single in the first. Di Genova singled in the fifth inning, extending her hit streak to four games.

Jessica McPartland started for the Pack, pitching three innings plus three batters in the fourth inning. Through the first three innings, McPartland allowed four hits and no earned runs, with the Aggies' first inning homer following a dropped foul ball. McPartland allowed a hit and two walks in the fourth; all three runners would score. Hailey McLean relieved McPartland in a 4-1 ball game, but walked four and allowed a pair of singles, and hit one batter. With all runners scoring, McLean finished with eight runs allowed, five of which were earned.

McPartland returned to the game, where Pratt would hit a grand slam, tacking on two more unearned runs for McPartland. She finished the game with six hits against, six runs allowed, two earned runs, five walks, and a pair of hit batters. Ainsley Berlingeri finished out the game for the Pack, pitching 1.1 innings and only allowing one hit.

Nevada heads to New Mexico with a half-game lead over San Diego State and Fresno State. The Pack will face to Lobos at 4 p.m. PT on Friday for the series opener in Albuquerque. Games two and three are set for 1 p.m. and 11 a.m. PT, respectively.
