Wolf Pack’s winning streak snapped

BOISE, Idaho – Nevada Women's Tennis had its 13-match winning streak snapped after a 4-0 loss to Boise State on Sunday.
 
The Wolf Pack's lone win of the dual came in the doubles session as Amahée Charrier and Kennedy Robinson defeated Ryan Kershner and Lorelyz Marruffo, 6-0 on court two.
 
Outside of Charrier and Robinson's win, the match was all Boise State. The Broncos won the doubles point with wins on courts one and three.
 
Boise State dominated the top of the singles session, winning on courts one, two, and four. Maya Dutta extended the Bronco lead with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Marlene Foerster. Zdena Safarova defeated Charrier, 6-1, 7-5, to bring Boise State within one point of clinching. Paula Schaefer clinched the match, defeating Silvia-Maria Costache, 6-2, 6-2.
 
Wiem Boubaker held a 6-4, 5-0 lead when the match was abandoned, the closest the Wolf Pack got to a point.
 
Nevada returns home for a pair of matches next weekend. The Pack will take on UNLV at 10 a.m. on April 4 for a leg of the Silver State Series presented by America First Credit Union. Nevada will then wrap the weekend with a Sunday match against Air Force at noon.
