RENO, Nev. – Nevada Women's Tennis extended its win streak to 11 with a 4-3 nail biting win over 44
th ranked San Diego State. The Pack improves to 3-0 in conference play following the win.

The Aztecs took the early lead winning the doubles point. The Wolf Pack jumped ahead in the session with
Wiem Boubaker and
Petra Janigova dominating the third-flight match. Boubaker and Janigova defeated Zoe Olmos and Gloria Alogo, 6-2. San Diego State held a strong lead in the second flight match, breaking Amahée Charrier and
Kennedy Robinson in their first service game to take a 3-0 lead. Yasmine Kabbaj and Ninon Martinache finished out the match with another break to win 6-2.

The top-flight match was back and forth, tied multiple times throughout the set. Jo-Yee Chan and Liisa Varul took a 4-3 lead for the Aztecs and broke
Marlene Foerster and
Silvia-Maria Costache before holding serve to win, 6-3.

Foerster got things started for the Pack, breaking Chan early in the first set to take control of the set. Foerster would break Chan again to take the first set, 6-4. Foerster used her momentum to win a key break in the second set and win 6-4 again.

The Pack took the lead with Robinson's court six victory against Varul. Robinson broke Varul twice to end the first set, winning the set, 6-2. Robinson controlled the second set as well, winning 6-3.

Charrier brought Nevada within a point of victory. Charrier broke Kabbaj at the end of the first set, winning 6-3. Kabbaj responded strongly, winning the second set, 6-0. Charrier turned the momentum around, winning the third set 6-3.

San Diego State began their comeback attempt, picking up the next two points. Alogo initially fell behind 5-0 in the first set, but battled back, winning 16 of the final 21 games to win 4-6, 6-2, 6-2. Martinache won the other match for the Aztecs, defeating Costache in a tight, 7-6, 6-4 match.

Boubaker clinched the dual for Nevada, winning the first set with a break, 6-3. She pulled ahead in the second set, 3-2, however, Olmos battled back to take the set, 6-4. Boubaker, fought hard through the third set, ultimately defeating Olmos, 6-4 to clinch the dual for the Wolf Pack.

Nevada is back at McArthur Tennis Center on Sunday for a 12 p.m. match against Stanislaus State.
