RENO, Nev. – The Wolf Pack's standout Freshman, Petra Janigova, claimed her first Mountain West Freshman of the Week honor following a 4-0 weekend against Santa Clara and Pacific.
 
Janigova started the weekend with a dominant 6-1 doubles victory with partner Wiem Boubaker against Santa Clara's Annah Rahman and Kacey Feng.
 
She followed her first doubles win with a strong 6-1, 6-2, win against Juliette Krumholz in the number six singles match.
 
Janigova's best win of the weekend came in her doubles match against Pacific when her and Boubaker came back from down 5-2 to win the match 7-5, breaking Maggie Hoe and Leyanne Hirota twice in the process.
 
Her weekend finished with a 6-2, 6-1 victory against Hirota, clinching the dual win against Pacific.
 
A native of Dolný Kubín, Slovakia, Janigova is now 9-0 in doubles play in dual matches.
 
The Wolf Pack heads to Fort Collins and Laramie this weekend, playing Colorado State at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, and Wyoming at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
