California Baptist 0, Nevada 4
Nevada's day began at an all-time high when Jenkins sent a ball deep to left field for a three-run home run, the 38th of her career, passing Megan Sweet for sole possession of the program home runs record.Â
Â
The homer gave Nevada the lead which it would never give up. The Wolf Pack would score one more time later in the fifth when Jenkins walked and stole second to set up
Lexi O'Gorman who knocked her in with a double down the right foul line.Â
Â
Nevada's pitching was on against California Baptist, only allowing five hits and never facing more than five batters in an inning. Even with two Lancer triples,
Hailey McLean didn't allow either runner to score. McLean earned the win, finishing the day with five innings pitched, four hits, no walks, and a strikeout.
Tess Bumiller relived McLean for the final two innings, she allowed a hit and two walks while striking out one.
Â
Bailie Clark led the team with two hits, both singles to the left side of the field.Â
Â
Other milestones against California Baptist include
Haley Painter's 100
th career start and Jenkins moving into sixth in program history in total bases (305) and tenth in runs scored (113).

Jessica McPartland made her first NCAA start in Nevada's biggest game of the weekend. Â
Â
Despite the run-rule score, Nevada stayed competitive in the game, having opportunities to score that weren't cashed in on. The Wolf Pack had multiple runners on base in three different innings, including a second and third with no outs in the second inning.
Â
UCLA scored early with a single and RBI double to start the bottom of the first. The double ended up scoring on a passed ball to extend the lead to 2-0.Â
Â
The Bruins added another run in the third with a solo shot off
Ainsley Berlingeri. The homer was the only earned run given up by Berlingeri; she struck out three batters in 2.1 innings.
Â
UCLA plated a fourth run in the fifth inning with a pair of singles and an outfield error by Nevada. In the sixth, three walks, three hits, and a passed ball gave UCLA an 8-0 lead, enough to run-rule walk off the game.
Â
Haley Painter went two-for-three against UCLA, leading the team in hits. Di Genova, Maytorena, and Engelbrecht also tallied hits.
Â
Nevada closed out its first weekend of the year tomorrow back on the LMU campus at Smith Field. The Wolf Pack will play the host Lions at 11 a.m. The game will be available on ESPN+,
