LUBBOCK, Texas – Nevada Men's Tennis gets back in the win column with a 4-0 sweep over Florida Gulf Coast which saw Axel Huysmans get his first career dual victory.
 
The Wolf Pack jumped out to a quick lead with two big doubles victories on courts one and two. Youssef Kadiri and Lucas Hammond paired up for the first time since their ITA Sectional run to the semifinal. Kadiri and Hammond got the top-flight victory, 6-1 over Hugo Magnusson and CJ Smith. Paul Théate and Rayen Hermassi clinched the doubles point in their first match playing together all season. Théate and Hermassi defeated Jonathan Baron and Guglielmo Stefancacci, 6-2.
 
Huysmans was bumped into the number five singles match where he earned his first collegiate dual victory, defeating Ninad Raut, 6-3, 6-2.
 
Kadiri brought Nevada within a point of the dual win with his 22^nd victory of the season, defeating Magnusson on court one, 6-4, 6-4.
 
Hermassi clinched the dual win for Nevada in a highly competitive 7-6 (4), 7-5 win over Pablo Paternostro on court four.
 
Théate led his second flight match 6-4, 4-2 against Baron when the match was clinched and abandoned. On court six, Max Contet was heading into a third set, 6-4, 3-6 against Smith with then dual finished.
 
Nevada take on Cal Poly in a neutral site match in La Jolla, Calif. on Thursday, February 27 with a 2 p.m. match against the Mustangs. The Pack will end the weekend at the USTA PAC Coast Doubles Championships in La Jolla. The tournament spreads over multiple days, culminating in a Sunday final.
