TEMPE, Ariz. - Nevada women's basketball faced McNeese State in its final game of the Briann January Classic, falling to the Cowgirls, 63-42.
Despite matching McNeese State's first score of the game, Nevada couldn't string together enough offense to gain momentum. The Cowgirls took the lead, 6-4, that led to an 11-0 run to take control.
Turnovers continued to be a problem for Nevada, giving up the ball 23 times, 16 of them coming in the first half alone. The Pack also couldn't score in key areas, going 4-for-12 from the charity stripe and 2-for-16 from three.Â
Nevada will have a week to recharge before hosting Pacific on December 13 at 1 p.m.
