SERIES HISTORY
Wyoming leads the all-time series with Nevada, 6-4. The teams have met six times as members of the Mountain West, with the Cowboys taking four of those decisions. Wyoming has won four of the last five against the Wolf Pack, the lone Nevada win since 2015 being a 37-34 score in Reno in 2020. This weekend's trip to Laramie is the Wolf Pack's first since 2019, when Nevada fell, 31-3.

ABOUT WYOMING
Wyoming has dropped its last two games heading into this weekend's meeting, most recently falling, 24-3, at Fresno State.

The Cowboys score just 17.8 points per game, and have put up just 10 points over this recent two-game slide. Quarterback Kaden Anderson has thrown for 1,791 yards and 11 touchdowns against 10 interceptions, with his favored targets being Chris Durr (39 catches, 435 yards, four touchdowns) and Jaylen Sargent (19 receptions, 227 yards). On the ground, Samuel Harris (546 yards, one touchdown) leads a trio of players with at least 300 rushing yards, while Terron Kellman paces the Cowboys with four rushing scores.

Defensively, the Cowboys do well to limit opponents, allowing just 20.6 points per game. Overall, Wyoming has gained 13 takeaways (nine interceptions, four fumbles)with Brayden Johnson and Desman Hearns leading the way with two interceptions apiece. Johnson leads the team with 62 tackles, while Ben Florentine (7.0 tackles-for-loss, 5.0 sacks) and Tyce Westland (6.0 TFLs, 2.0 sacks) pace the rush.

RAMSEUR, JONES TAKE HOME MW WEEKLY HONORS
Nevada running back Caleb Ramseur and quarterback Carter Jones were recognized Monday morning by the Mountain West for their performances in Saturday's 55-10 win over San José State.

Ramseur was named the Old Trapper Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week while Jones was named Old Trapper Mountain West Freshman of the Week. The weekly conference honors are the first for the Wolf Pack in 2025.

Ramseur recorded the first 100-yard rushing game for a Wolf Pack running back since last season, going for 128 yards on 20 carries against the Spartans. The Elk Grove, Calif., native also found the end zone twice, once by ground, an 11-yard score in the third quarter, and also via a 30-yard reception from Jones early in the second quarter which upped the Wolf Pack lead to 21-0. For the game, Ramseur led all players with 157 all-purpose yards, as he added 29 yards on two catches to his rushing total.

Jones had one of his finest games since taking over the starting quarterback role on Oct. 11. The rookie from Lancaster, Texas was dialed in from the start and went on to complete 16-of-19 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns. For the game, Jones led the Wolf Pack on three touchdown drives of at least 65 yards and his efficiency helped Nevada hold the ball for a season-best 37 minutes, 25 seconds.

KENION III WITH ALL THE TAKEAWAYS
Safety Murvin Kenion III had his finest game of the season Saturday against San José State and led the Wolf Pack's season-high five takeaways. Kenion intercepted two Spartan passes and forced a first-quarter fumble which was recovered by Logologo Va'a.

Kenion's takeaways led to 14 Wolf Pack points and helped Nevada build a 31-0 halftime lead. His forced fumble in the first quarter was recovered by Va'a at the Spartan 30, and led to a quick five-play touchdown drive, then he returned his second-quarter pick to the Spartan 13, setting up Chubba Purdy's 13-yard touchdown run to make it 28-0.

On the year, Kenion leads the Wolf Pack with three interceptions (tied for fifth in the Mountain West), and Nevada's four interceptions was its single-game best since having four Oct. 12, 2024 against Oregon State.

NAKIAN JACKSON STEPPING UP ON DEFENSE
Linebacker Nakian Jackson has stepped up as one of Nevada's top defenders over the past three games, and highlighted his rise with a 66-yard interception return for a touchdown to open the scoring Saturday against San José State. Jackson's recent form started with a career-high 14 tackles Oct. 24 against Boise State, and he followed that up with 12 tackles at Utah State. For the year, Jackson ranks fourth on the Wolf Pack with 48 tackles (21 solo).

SCORING IN ALL THREE PHASES
Nevada, on Saturday, pulled off a feat for the first time since 2018--scoring touchdowns on offense, defense, and special teams in the same game.

Besides its five offensive touchdowns, the Pack got a 66-yard interception return touchdown from Nakian Jackson and a 99-yard kickoff return touchdown from Ky Woods. The last time Nevada had touchdowns in all three phases was Aug. 31, 2018, in a 72-19 victory over Portland State (INT return on defense and punt return on special teams).
