Box Score RENO, Nev. - Nevada volleyball hosted GCU in its final home match of the season, falling in four sets to the Lopes.

The Pack put up a strong fight from the beginning, coming out with a commanding 25-10 opening set victory. They jumped out to an early lead, grabbing the first two points of the game. The Lopes put one up before the Pack extended their advantage with a 6-0 run that featured four kills. Haylee Brown had two, with Bella Snyder and Kamryn Tifft each getting one.

Nevada pushed its lead to as much as 15, ultimately putting away set one off of a kill by Brown.

Sets two and three went in favor of the Lopes, with the Pack keeping them close. GCU took set two with a score of 25-21 and set three, 25-18. 

In the second, Nevada found itself down by as much as six, before cutting it back to one midway through. Set three was tougher, as the Pack played from behind the entire set and couldn't find the momentum to come back.

Set four was a back-and-forth battle until the very last point. There were 16 ties and seven lead changes. Late in the set, GCU was at match point, but Snyder earned an ace to tie it at 24 and force extras. It wasn't enough as the Lopes took the next two points and secured the fourth, 26-24.

Brown led the pack with 16 kills and three blocks, followed by Snyder with 12 kills and four blocks. Nicanora Clarke contributed with 11 kills and one block. 

Nevada will head out on the road to face Boise State on November 20 at 5 PM.
