RENO, Nev. — The Nevada Women's Soccer team closed out its 2025 season on home turf Thursday afternoon, hosting in-state rival UNLV at Mackay Stadium in this year's Silver State Series.

The Rebels struck early, capitalizing on a Nevada own goal in the 17th minute to take the lead. Just one minute later, UNLV doubled its advantage with a quick follow-up strike, putting the Pack in a 2-0 hole.

Nevada responded with resilience. In the 25th minute, senior and Reno native Rylee Husted delivered a moment to remember, finding the back of the net to cut the deficit in half. The goal marked a fitting finale for Husted, who closed out her collegiate career with a hometown goal in front of the Wolf Pack fans.

The second half saw both teams battle fiercely, trading possession and chances, but neither side could break through again. The 2-1 scoreline held through the final whistle, sealing the result in favor of the Rebels.

With the final whistle, Nevada concluded its 2025 season campaign, celebrating the grit, growth, and determination that defined the year.
