Nevada women's tennis closes out successful weekend in San Jose with six wins

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Nevada women's tennis closed out its weekend in San Jose with six wins, grabbing three in singles and three in doubles. 

Kennedy Robinson and Wiem Boubaker both went 3-0 on the weekend in singles after each getting the win over their opponent on Sunday. Robinson defeated Davis' Maya Youssef (6-2, 6-4), while Boubaker won over Penelope Wong (6-4, 0-6, 6-2). Petra Janigova also got a win today over Vivian Gallaway (6-3, 6-2), going 2-1 in singles on the weekend. 

 Amahée Charrier fell (6-2, 6-4) to Davis' Polina Marakhtanova, while Marlene Foerster dropped her match to Mika Ikemor (6-4, 6-3) and Silvia-Maria Costache suffered a loss to Aileena Hu (2-6, 6-2, 6-4).

In doubles action, all three teams game away with wins over Santa Clara. The team of Charrier and Janigova defeated Tian Yu Dong and Ashley Katz (6-4), Foerster and Robinson downed Daniella Dimitrova and Anna Rahman (6-4), followed by Boubaker and Costache defeating Madhu Satishbabu and Juliette Krumholz (7-6).

Nevada ended the weekend with a total of 13 wins over the span of three days. The Pack now prepares to go to the ITA Conference Championships from November 7-10.
