RENO, Nev. - Coming off a big win over Utah State at home this past weekend, the Nevada women's basketball team will hit the road to take on Wyoming and Boise State.
The Pack will face the Cowgirls on Wednesday at 5:30 PM PST and take on the Broncos on Saturday at 1 PM PST.
Nevada saw five players reach double-digits in scoring in the 78-69 win over Utah State.
Lexie Givens led the way, recording her fourth double-double of the season. Givens had 16 points to go with 10 rebounds. She also had two blocks and two steals.
Audrey Roden and
Victoria Davis each had 14 points.
Imbie Jones and
Izzy Sullivan contributed with 12 a piece.
The team as a whole had 17 points off turnovers and held the lead for a majority of the game, the score being tied only three times and the lead changing only twice.Â
Wyoming is also coming off a win, defeating San Diego State with a final of 78-71. Senior Allyson Fertig led in scoring and rebounds with 21 and nine, respectively. Senior Emily Mellema added 18 points.Â
The Cowgirls shot 54% from the paint and 53% from beyond the arc.Â
Boise State enters the week with a loss to Fresno State, 68-62, and will face San Jose State on Wednesday before the match up with Nevada.Â
Junior Tatum Thompson led the Broncos with 30 points and 16 rebounds, both career highs for her. Junior Natalie Pasco followed with 20 points.
