RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Nevada women's volleyball team played their second match today for the Riverside Classic with a 3-1 win over California Baptist, (25-23, 25-9, 27-25, 25-20).  

 The Wolf Pack delivered a balanced offensive performance led by Carissa Chainey with 19 kills, while Gabby McLaughlin added 14 kills to her tally. Bella Snyder played a pivotal role with 11 kills and Sia Liilii contributing six to Nevada's efficient attack. 

 Setter Tehya Maeva distributed the ball effectively, for 40 assists. Maeva also added 11 digs to her stat line.   

 From the back line, Kinsley Singleton anchored Nevada with a match-high 21 digs, complementing her 0.947 reception percentage. Masyn Navarro also contributed 10 digs, while Liilii recorded two block assists to stifle the Lancers' attack. 

The turning point in the match came during the second set when Nevada came back and beat the Lancers 25-9. 

In their third set the Wolf Pack faced a tough battle. The Wolf Pack rallied behind key kill from Cahiney to tie the set at 24-24. Chainey then served an ace to give Nevada the advantage and secure the match 27-25. 

Nevada closed out the match maintaining the lead throughout the fourth set. Snyder and Chainey registered crucial kills to seal the set. Liilii securing the match victory with the final kill. 

With the win, Nevada improves to 6-2 on the season and will look to carry this momentum into their next match against UC Riverside tomorrow at 1 p.m.
