LOGAN, Utah – The Pack fell in both games of the doubleheader against Utah State, the first one in nine innings, and the second one run short.
 
Game 1, 6-5  (L, 9 inn.)
Aaliyah Jenkins started the game with a two-run shot in the first inning, putting the Pack up early, 2-0.
 
The Aggies answered back with three runs in the bottom of the inning, taking the 3-2 lead.
 
Gabby Herrera and Taryn Jenkins go back-to-back with solo home runs in the third to take the 4-3 lead.
 
The Aggies tied the game at four loading the bases then hitting a sac fly to bring in the tying run.
 
Charli Hawkins doubled to left center and Matlyn Leetch came in to pinch run for Hawkins at second. Bailie Clark with two outs reached on an error by the center fielder, and Leetch was able to score from second to reclaim the lead, 5-4. Chelie Senini singled with a bunt and B. Clark advanced to third. The inning ended with Senini caught stealing at second.
 
Aggies started the bottom of the sixth inning with a leadoff home run to tie the game back up at five.
 
The Wolf Pack and Aggies were scoreless through the bottom of the ninth when the Aggies walked it off with an RBI single to take the first game of the day, 6-5. 
 
Carley Brown got the start in game one but wasn't able to record an out after giving up three runs facing five batters. Tyra Clary came in and had a dominant performance going 8.2 innings giving up the walk-off run in the ninth. Clary recorded a career high 12 strikeouts, walked four, giving up three runs on four hits.
 
Game 2, 5-4 (L)
The Aggies scored first in the bottom of the first with an RBI single putting the Pack in a 1-0 deficit.
 
The Pack added their first runs of the game in the third starting with Haley Painter singling to left field advancing Chelie Senini to second after she reached on a fielder's choice. Aaliyah Jenkins flies out to center field advancing Senini to third bringing Gabby Herrera to the plate. Herrera delivers with an RBI single down the right field line, scoring Senini to tie the game at one and Taryn Jenkins delivers a back-to-back RBI single scoring Painter to take the lead, 2-1.
 
T. Jenkins doubled in the fifth scoring Painter to extend the lead, 3-1.
 
The Aggies tied the game in the fifth with a two-run home run to center followed by another two-run home run in the sixth for the 5-3 lead.
 
With two outs in the top of the seventh, Herrera hit her second home run of the day in as many games, but it wasn't enough as the Pack drop the second game of the day, 5-4.
 
Blake Craft got the start in the second game of the doubleheader going six innings, giving up five runs on eight hits. Craft struck out four and walked three.
 
Notables:
  • In game one, Tyra Clary recorded her career high in innings pitched (8.2), strikeouts (12), and batters faced (36).
  • Chelie Senini tied Caitlin Lowe (Arizona) for the 23rd most stolen bases in NCAA DI history (156).
  • Taryn Jenkins passed Megan Sweet for the seventh most RBI in a single Nevada season (51). She is just the sixth player in Nevada history to record 50 RBI in a season.
  • Gabby Herrera homered in both games, tying for the second most home runs in a single Nevada season (13).
  • T. Jenkins homered in game one, tying for the sixth most home runs in a single Nevada season.
