SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Nevada never trailed in game one of the San Diego Series, taking a dominant game one victory, 7-3.
 
The Pack started the scoring in the top of the second with an RBI single from Aaliyah Jenkins through the left side scoring Taryn Jenkins who reached on a double and advanced to third on a throwing error.
 
Haley Painter hit her 16th home run of the season, tied for most in the conference with Gabby Herrera, to put the Pack up 2-0. A. Jenkins brought home T. Jenkins for the second time with an RBI double, extending the Pack lead, 3-0. Aztecs added two in the bottom of the inning, but Pack clinched to the 3-2 lead heading to the fourth.
 
The Pack scored four unanswered in the next three innings with two in the fourth and two in the sixth. In the fourth, Chelie Senini singled up the middle. Painter reached base on a hit by pitch, her seventeenth this season. Both advance on a wild pitch. Senini scores on a passed ball and Painter advances to third. Bridgette Gilliano walked and then a double steal scores Painter, extending the lead, 5-2.
 
The had a three up, three down fifth inning but add two runs in the sixth with a Gilliano RBI double scoring B. Clark who reached on a single to second base. Painter is hit by pitch for the second time. Gabby Herrera reached on a fielder's choice with the Aztecs not able to make a play, and the Pack loaded the bases. T. Jenkins recorded a sac fly to center field scoring Painter. The Pack headed to the bottom of the sixth with a 7-2 lead.
 
Blake Craft got the start in game one, going seven innings, recording one strikeout and issuing two walks. Craft allowed three runs on six hits, giving up a solo home run in the sixth.

The Pack continue the San Diego State series, tomorrow, Saturday, April 27 with first pitch set for 4 P.M.
