LAS VEGAS – After falling behind 3-1 to UNLV, Nevada Women's Tennis battled to tie the dual but fell short in a dual-deciding final set.
 
UNLV jumped out early, sweeping the first doubles match on court two. Cindy Hu and Coco Zhao defeated Marlene Foerster and Léa Cakarevic, 6-0. The Wolf Pack brought the third doubles match within a game before Salsa Aher and Aura Fang pulled away from Kennedy Robinson and Wiem Boubaker, winning 6-3. The top-flight match between Zita Kovacs/Hanna Vinahradava and Amahée Charrier/Anastasia Luneva was tied six games a piece when the match was abandoned.
 
Zhao doubled the Rebel lead with her swift 6-2, 6-1 victory against Nevada's Boubaker on court five. Luneva pulled a point back for Nevada, defeating Vinahradava 6-4, 6-1 in the fourth flight match.
 
UNLV reclaimed their two-point lead when Aher defeated Foerster 7-5, 6-2 on court two.
 
The Wolf Pack comeback efforts began on court one when Charrier flipped the Kovacs' momentum to win the top-flight match in three sets. After winning the first set 6-4, Charrier dropped set two to Kovacs 6-3, but won a key break in the middle of the set to defeat Kovacs, 6-4.
 
Lou-Anne Guerbert tied the dual for Nevada from down a set. Hu defeated Guerbert in set one 6-3, but Guerbert battled back to win set two, 6-3, and the decisive set 7-5.
 
Robinson held multiple leads for the Pack, including her first set, 6-4, victory against Fang. The Rebel senior won back-to-back sets 7-5, including a three-game comeback in the third set to defeat Robinson and clinch the match for UNLV.
 
The Wolf Pack continue their road trip with a drive down to San Diego to take on the Aztecs of San Diego State on Sunday at noon.
