RENO, Nev. - Jarod Lucas scored a game-high 21 points, Nick Davidson poured in 19, and the Nevada Men's Basketball team shot 53.1 percent from the field and 44.0 percent from behind the arc on the way to a 74-66 victory over Fresno State.
With the win, Nevada improved to 24-6 overall, including a mark of 11-5 in Mountain West play. The victory also marked the Pack's fifth consecutive win and their eighth win in the past nine games.
Nevada recorded an incredible 23 assists on 26 made field goals, marking their second-highest total of the season.
Nevada was stellar on the offensive end of the court, knocking down 11 3-pointers and hitting 11 of 13 shots at the free throw line for a clip of 84.6 percent.
Defensively, the Pack limited the Bulldogs to just 66 points on 42.6 percent shooting from the field and 30.4 percent from behind the arc.
Lucas maintained his recent stretch of exceptional play, scoring a game-high 21 points on 7-12 shooting from the field, 3-6 from behind the arc, and a perfect 4-4 at the free throw line.
Davidson also had a highly impressive performance, as he scored 19 points on an efficient 7-9 shooting from the field and 2-4 from behind the arc, in addition to pulling down six rebounds and dishing out three assists.
Like Lucas, Hunter McIntosh also continued his recent stretch of outstanding play for Nevada. McIntosh scored 12 points while burying 4-7 shots from behind the arc. The graduate student also dished out four assists in the game.
Tre Coleman had an all-around stellar outing for the Pack, as he scored six points, pulled down six rebounds, and recorded a career-high four blocks. Coleman completed the contest with a game-high plus/minus of +11 in 34 minutes of action.
Daniel Foster also had a prolific all-around performance for Nevada. Foster scored just three points; however, the senior grabbed a game-high seven rebounds, in addition to dishing out four assists.
Freshman guard Tyler Rolison provided a significant boost off the bench for the Pack. Rolison scored seven points, pulled down three boards, and recorded three assists.
Nevada maintained a lead for 34 minutes and 28 seconds throughout the game, while trailing for just two minutes and 51 seconds.
First Half
After the Bulldogs jumped out to a 7-2 lead early in the contest, Nevada responded in a tremendous way. The Pack reeled off a 24-4 run, taking a 26-11 advantage with 8:29 left until halftime.
Nevada held a double-digit lead for the remainder of the first half, and the Pack took a 37-24 lead into the halftime break.
Second Half
Fresno State battled back to start the second period, as the Bulldogs trimmed Nevada's lead down to 10 points at the 17:08 mark, with the Pack holding a 42-32 edge.
Nevada was able to push their advantage back up to 16 points, after a McIntosh 3-pointer at the 13:52 mark gave the Pack a 54-38 lead.
The lead swelled to 17 points at the 8:07 mark after a Rolison bucket, as Nevada took a 64-47 advantage, marking the Pack's largest lead of the game.
Fresno State refused to give up, as they were able to get within seven points of Nevada with 1:28 to go; however, that marked the closest the Bulldogs would get. The Pack went on to earn the 74-66 win, as they swept the season series against Fresno State and earned their 24th victory.
