RENO, Nev. – Nevada Swim opened their season with a dominant victory over Cal State East Bay, winning 156-81 at Lombardi Pool. The Wolf Pack took first in all 13 events, showcasing depth and strength across multiple strokes and distances.
The meet began with a powerful performance in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Scarlett Ferris, Sara Mihalic, Yasmin Perry, and Abby Parks clocked in at 1:42.39 to secure the first win of the day.
Enkhkhuslen Batbayar led Nevada's individual victories in the 200-yard freestyle, posting an impressive time of 1:50.74. Ferris followed with a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (55.36), while Mihalic captured the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.88. Perry added to the Pack's tally, winning the 50-yard butterfly in 25.51.
At the halfway mark, Nevada held a commanding lead of 91-21.
The momentum continued as Parks won the 100-yard freestyle in 52.79, Ferris took another first-place finish in the 50-yard backstroke (25.10), and Mihalic added the 50-yard breaststroke win (29.97). Batbayar's second victory came in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:00.65. Perry secured another butterfly win, taking the 100-yard event in 55.60, while Mihalic finished off her individual events with a win in the 100-yard IM (58.64).
Nevada closed the meet with a dominating performance in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as Ferris, Noelle Harvey, Perry, and Parks posted a time of 1:34.91.
Next, Nevada Swim will travel to UC Davis on October 19.
