Box Score SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Nevada Wolf Pack suffered a three-set loss (22-25, 20-25, 15-25) to San Diego State in a Mountain West Conference matchup. Despite showing resilience in the first two sets, Nevada couldn't keep pace with SDSU's offensive efficiency, dropping to 1-3 in conference play and 8-8 overall.
Nevada fought hard in the opening set, tying the score at 22-22 before SDSU closed it out with three straight points, winning 25-22. The second set saw Nevada keep it close early, but SDSU maintained control, taking the set 25-20. In the final set, the Wolf Pack struggled to find momentum, ultimately falling 25-15 to the Aztecs.
Gabby McLaughlin led Nevada's attack with eight kills, Carissa Chainey and Bella Snyder each with six. Setter Tehya Maeva led the team with nine digs and contributed 18 assists.
Nevada will return to action next weekend at home, facing Air Force on Thursday, October 10, at 7 p.m., followed by a matchup against New Mexico on Saturday, October 12, at noon at Virginia Street Gym in Reno, Nev.
