The Wolf Pack took the first and third sets, but Fresno State rallied back to claim the victory with scores of 30-28, 25-15, 25-19, 29-27, and 15-12. The loss drops Nevada to 11-10 overall and 4-5 in Mountain West play.
Nevada started strong, securing a tightly contested first set, 30-28. Fresno State responded with a commanding 25-15 win in the second set. The Wolf Pack regained momentum in the third, winning 25-19.
The fourth set was a nail-biter, with Fresno State narrowly escaping with a 29-27 win to force a decisive fifth set. Despite Nevada's efforts, the Bulldogs clinched the match with a 15-12 victory in the final frame.
Gabby McLaughlin powered Nevada's offense with a match-high 31 kills, adding 10 digs and three aces. Sia Liilii delivered 12 kills and two aces, while Carissa Chainey contributed 11 kills, and Bella Snyder added nine kills. Tehya Maeva orchestrated the offense with 50 assists and 11 digs, and Kinsley Singleton anchored the defense with a match-high 26 digs.
