RENO, Nev. -Â Redshirt junior
Nick Davidson was recognized on the preseason All-Mountain West Team on October 17th, 2024, ahead of Mountain West Media Day. Despite the talent and overall success on the Wolf Pack teams in the last two years,
Nick Davidson is the only Wolf Pack player to receive Preseason All-Mountain West team honors in the previous three years.
Nick Davidson took his game to new heights last season, becoming a vital part of the Nevada Wolf Pack. After averaging 6.9 points and 4.1 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game during the 2022-23 season, Davidson's production surged in 2023-24. He averaged 28.9 minutes per game, scored 12.2 points, and grabbed 7.3 rebounds per game, nearly doubling his impact on both ends of the floor.
His efficiency has also improved, shooting 54.5 percent from the field, up from 44.2 percent last season. While his three-point percentage dipped slightly to 29.2 percent, Davidson's ability to score inside has made up for it. He's also become a better passer, averaging 1.4 assists per game, with stronger defensive contributions, averaging 0.7 blocks and 0.7 per game.
With more minutes and responsibility, Davidson's consistency has been vital for the Wolf Pack. His growth last season shows he's ready to help Nevada compete at a high level, proving himself as a cornerstone of the team and putting himself in the Mountain West Player of the Year conversation.
