FRESNO, Calif. - Nevada Soccer took on Fresno State in the second of a two-game road trip, taking down the Bulldogs in a second half comeback win with a final of 2-1.
The win makes it the third consecutive for the Wolf Pack. They have outscored their opponents 9-1 in the last three games and are now 3-3 in conference play.
Nevada only gave up one goal on the day, which came in the 19th minute by Fresno State's Kaelyn Miller.
The second half is where Nevada turned up the heat, scoring two goals within minutes of each other.
Penny Murphy got the Wolf Pack's first goal, scored in the 64th minute. From far out, she launched it above the goalie's reach to tie the game at one.
Less than three minutes later,
Emily Rich gave the Wolf Pack their first lead with her fifth goal of the season, her fourth in just three games.
Into the final 10 minutes of the game, Fresno State was putting on the pressure, but Nevada's defense had multiple impressive saves to keep them out of the goal. The Wolf Pack held off the Bulldogs for the entire second half, coming away with the 2-1 win.
Nevada will return home for a four-game stretch, starting with Wyoming on Thursday, October 17, at 7 PM.
