RENO, Nev. – Nevada claimed Mountain West swimmer of the week in Yasmin Perry, freshman of the week in Scarlett Ferris, and diver of the week in Melissa Mirafuentes.
 
Yasmin Perry is coming off a solid performance at UNLV, most impressively as a member of the first place 400 medley relay recording a time of 3:37.87. This becomes the third best time in Nevada history in the 400 medley relay and is this seasons top conference time. Perry swam a 52.65 split time in the relay. Perry claimed first place in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:57.10, which is top-50 time in the nation and is third all-time at Nevada. Perry is .01 second shy of the top conference time in the 200 butterfly. 
 
Scarlett Ferris is coming off an impressive performance, lowering her lifetime best in the 100 backstroke (52.97) in her leadoff split of the 400 medley relay, Ferris was just 0.28 seconds off the school record time of 52.69, beating her own top time in the conference that she recorded at mid-season at Utah Tech (53.23). Ferris finished second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.58.
 
Melissa Mirafuentes led the Pack in the diving events, recording the top time in the 3-meter springboard and second in the 1-meter, missing the top spot by 0.3 points. The Guadalupe, Mexico native scored a total of 621.16 points in the two events, 334.13 in the 3-meter and 287.03 in the 1-meter.
