RENO, Nev. – Nevada volleyball dropped Saturday's match to the Air Force Falcons who completed the 3-0 sweep Saturday afternoon at Virginia Street Gym, moving to 4-9 overall, and 0-2 in conference play.

The Falcons kicked off the season with an 8-1 record during the first three weeks, posting their best start since 1996, bettering their previous 7-2 start from last season. Air Force leads the overall series against Nevada 12-11, with the Falcons winning in their most recent matchup last season 3-2. Air Force moves to 10-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Hannah Platt recorded a hitting percentage of .429 with seven kills, one error, and 14 total attacks, while
Bella Snyder hit for .444 with five kills, one error, and nine total attacks. Both
Nicanora Clarke and Teyha Maeva had three service aces a piece.

Nevada called their first timeout with the Falcons up 13-8 after a 4-0 run with two kills from Mac Russ and Caroline Reinkensmeyer, a service ace by Jordan Suan, and an attack error by Schwartz. Nevada cut the lead by 4 at 15-11 with a service ace by Clarke, before a kill by Air Force's Joi Harvey brought the Falcons back up leading by five. The second half of the set was all Air Force as they continued to extend their lead over the Pack by eight at 21-13. Nevada battled back, shortening the Falcons' lead to only five with back-to-back kill from Snyder and
Sia Liilii before Air Force reached set point from Reinkensmeyer's second kill of the set and match. An attack error by Nevada's Maeva gave Air Force the first set 25-19.

Nevada led the second set early on with a 5-3 lead thanks in part to Maeva's first service ace of the match, before Air Force jumped up to lead by five after a 4-0 run with two kills in a row from Russ and Harvey followed by back-to-back service aces in a row by Suan, forcing Nevada to call timeout. The Pack came within one after
Jaclyn Sanchez's first kill of the match, followed by Maeva'a second service ace of the match to put the score at 12-11. Nevada took the lead by one after Air Force's block by Russ and Reinkensmeyer tied it all up at 17-17 a piece. Back-to-back kills from Snyder allowed Nevada to regain a two-point lead at 19-17, forcing Air Force to call their first timeout of the match. The Falcons went back on top 22-16 from a kill by Ella Tschour.
Air Force ultimately took the second set 25-22 after a 3-1 run by the Falcons to secure a 2-0 lead over the Pack on the match.

Nevada went up 4-1 to start the third set, before Air Force shortened the Pack's lead to just one after a kill from Ashley Bible and an attack error by Nevada's Clarke. The Falcons and Wolf Pack put up a back-and-forth rally with three lead changes before Nevada tied things up again at 9-9 a piece with a kill by Platt. Air Force jumped up by two over Nevada at 11-9 before Liilii's seventh kill of the match and McLaughlin's second service ace tied the set up at 11-11. At the media timeout, the Falcons extended their lead by three after two attack errors from Nevada allowed Air Force to lead 15-12. The Falcons continued to extend their lead over the Pack, going up by five points at 19-14. Nevada cut Air Force's lead to four until the Falcon's reached match point, and ultimately took the set and match 25-18 after an attack error from the Pack resulted in Air Force completing the 3-0 sweep over Nevada.
