Nevada Athletics partners with Dorinda’s Chocolates to launch The Wolf Pack Bar

RENO, Nev. – Nevada Athletics has partnered with locally-owned Dorinda's Chocolates to introduce the university-branded Wolf Pack Bar in a collaboration facilitated by CLC, the university's exclusive trademark licensing company.

The Wolf Pack Bar, a dulce crunch bar that includes both dark and dulce blond chocolate, along with a surprise biscuit crunch, launches Friday, August 25, during an event at Dorinda's Chocolates, located at 727 Riverside Dr.

"We excited to launch the new Wolf Pack bar with a partner in Dorinda's Chocolate's that is important to our community and with connections to our university," said Michael Harris, Associate Athletics Director, Revenue Generation and Fan Engagement. "This specially branded product exemplifies our continued commitment to delivering unique Nevada merchandise to our passionate Wolf Pack fans."

Founded in 2009 by Dorinda Vance, Dorinda's Chocolates made its start in Truckee, Calif., before expanding into the Northern Nevada market, including Reno. From being awarded "best and most original flavor" at her first trade show, Dorinda's Chocolates has gradually expanded its selection of hand-made chocolate creations and can be found in locations throughout Reno. Dustin Vance, CEO, and Dillon Vance, co-owner of Dorinda's and owner of sister company Rolled Mountain Creamery, both attended Nevada, and the Reno retail stores are staffed by Nevada students.

"I think it is really important to connect back to the community. This is a community based full heartedly on supporting each other. It really helped me as a person and business owner to attend Nevada," said Dustin Vance, CEO of Dorinda's Chocolates.

In addition to the Riverside Drive location, Wolf Pack bar will be available at Dorinda's Chocolates on Rancharrah Parkway in Reno and Donner Pass Road in Truckee, CA, with future expansion to other retail locations.

The announcement expands Nevada Athletics' co-branding partnership initiative with locally-owned businesses in the Reno-Tahoe community. In March, the Wolf Pack and Hub Coffee Roasters unveiled "Morning Howl," and earlier this month, the Wolf Pack and Brothers Barbecue launched the Howlin' Bold & Spicy barbecue sauce.
