RENO, Nev. – Nevada Athletics announced the launch of the Battle Born Recruiting & Retention Fund, a strategic initiative designed to position the Wolf Pack for immediate, long-term, and sustained competitive success, as the department enters the new chapter of the Mountain West Conference beginning in 2026-27.
The Battle Born recruiting and Retention Fund provides Wolf Pack supporters a direct opportunity to invest in the future of Nevada Athletics to ensure coaches and sports programs have the necessary resources to recruit, develop, and retain elite student-athletes in an increasingly competitive and rapidly evolving college athletics landscape.
"Our Wolf Pack community has always stood strong for Nevada Athletics, and we are deeply grateful for that steadfast support," said Nevada Athletics Director
Stephanie Rempe. "As the national landscape of college athletics shifts at an unprecedented pace, this moment requires us to respond with focus and unity. The Battle Born Recruiting & Retention Fund is a direct investment in our ability to recruit, develop, and retain exceptional student-athletes. It ensures Nevada is not just adapting to change—but competing boldly within it."
Investment in the Battle Born Recruiting & Retention Fund will have a broad and lasting impact across Nevada Athletics. The Fund will enable Wolf Pack programs to compete at a high level immediately in the Mountain West Conference by enhancing each coaching staff's opportunity to build competitive rosters through the recruitment of outstanding prospective student-athletes and the retention and continuing development of established team members.
The Fund will also support robust and flexible scholarship packages that will protect roster depth across all sports, including Olympic and women's sports programs, while promoting roster stability, continuity, leadership, and momentum in all programs.
Contributors to the Battle Born Recruiting & Retention Fund will receive increased Wolf Pack Athletic Association benefits, including five (5) priority points per $100 gift, with gifts tax-deductible, subject to IRS regulations.
"Next year is not simply another year—it's a year defined by momentum, opportunity, and the collective pride of our Wolf Pack community," Rempe said. "In Nevada's College Town, we believe Athletics is a rising tide. It elevates our students, strengthens our university, and energizes our city. The Battle Born Recruiting & Retention Fund is essential to building the competitive rosters needed to meet our expectations and achieve sustained success across all programs."
