RENO, Nev. and ATLANTA, Ga. – Nevada Athletics today announced it has extended its agreement with CLC, the nation's leading collegiate licensing company.
Nevada Athletics will continue to receive access to CLC's industry-leading brand protection services and licensing strategies, innovative consumer marketing programs and unmatched sales and market data from which Nevada can analyze its program for future growth and product development.
"We are committed to delivering the best products and brand engagement opportunities for our passionate Wolf Pack fans and consumers throughout the state and around the country," said Michael Harris, Nevada's Associate AD, Revenue Generation and Fan Engagement. "Our partnership with CLC allows us to leverage their expertise and industry relationships to help identify opportunities and strategies to continue to build the Nevada brand."
Through the agreement, CLC will help Nevada manage the more than 160 manufacturers that are currently approved to create merchandise using the Wolf Pack brand and other University marks. Nevada also will work with CLC to identify new retail opportunities to meet the needs of Wolf Pack fans while implementing strategies to maximize the value and exposure of the Nevada brand. CLC has helped generate more than $4 million in gross royalties for Nevada's licensing program since the inception of the partnership.
"We are proud to continue our work with Nevada Athletics to pursue new ways to connect with consumers through merchandise and marketing," said John Greeley, CLC's SVP of Partnerships. "We are excited about this extension of our partnership and remain committed to supporting the University of Nevada and Nevada Athletics in elevating their brand in the marketplace."
Nevada licensed merchandise is currently sold at more than 200 retailers.
In addition to its partnership with CLC, a division of LEARFIELD, Nevada Athletics also works with other LEARFIELD divisions to provide athletic services and fan engagement, including athletic media rights holder Wolf Pack Sports Properties, SIDEARM Sports for its website and fan app, and Paciolan for its digital ticketing platform.
