RENO, Nev. -Â Nevada closed the series with a 7-2 win against San Diego State in front of 1,149 fans, which is a new school record for game attendance, Sunday afternoon.
"Having this community behind us and what we are doing is how we make Nevada softball special." says head coach Linda Garza. "There is no greater feeling than looking up to the stands and see a sea of blue supporting, cheering, and backing us up. It is every young girl's dream to play in front of a crowd like that. Thank you to everyone who came out."
Carley Brown completed the game for the Pack. In the circle, the senior only allowed two runs in the seventh inning. Brown struck out three of the 28 batters faced in the afternoon. With the seven-inning outing, Brown improves her record to 10-7.
The Wolf Pack got on the board early with a Charli Hawkins single that pushed Chelie Senini across for a 1-0 Nevada lead.
In the third inning, Hailey Prahm scored after Gabby Herrera reached first on a fielder's choice. Senini scored for the second time with a sac fly RBI from Hawkins. Aaliyah Jenkins drove two runs across the plate with a deep double to right-centerfield, earning her 42nd RBI of the season.
Maile Olsen homered to left field to lead the bottom of the fifth. That tallies five homers and 15 RBI this season. Senini had her fourth triple of the season to put her in scoring position. Painter reached first on a fielder's choice, converting the opportunity to score Senini's third run of the game.
The win against the Aztecs pushes the Pack to 26-11 on the season and 7-6 in conference play, one game closer to second place in the conference rankings.

The Pack travels to California for another Mountain West clash against the Fresno State Bulldogs. The opener to the three-game series can be watched live on Mountain West Network at 6 P.M. on Friday, April 21. The next home matchup will be the first game of a doubleheader against the Idaho State Bengals on May 1 at 1 P.M.
