RENO, Nev. - Nevada diver Lucia Gabino and Head Diving Coach Jian Li You were selected Mountain West Diver and Diving Coach of the Year, announced by the conference Thursday morning.

This marks You's eighth MW Diving Coach of the Year, as she has earned 11 conference diving Coach of the Year honors in her tenure at Nevada. You have earned coach of the year after the 2022 season and for six years straight ('13, '14, '15, '16, '17, '18) since Nevada has competed in the Mountain West.

You coached Gabino to first place in the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard, and a 12th-placefinish in the platform event in the Mountain West Championship. The sophomore was selected Diver of the Meet after her performance in the championship.

The Nevada head diving coach also coached Melissa Mirafuentes to an All-American honorable mention in the NCAA Championships. Mirafuentes represented the Pack in the platform event and was ranked 12th place. The senior was also in the 1-meter springboard, which she finished in 44th place.
