BERKELEY, Calif. - Nevada's brief four-game trip ended in defeat Monday, as the Wolf Pack fell, 14-2, at California in non-conference action.

The Pack (13-18) returns to Reno for four in a row at Don Weir Field at Peccole Park, beginning with this weekend's three-game Mountain West set against Air Force.

Monday, Nevada managed just three hits over the first six innings against California starter Andres Galan. Galan struck out nine in his stint for his second win.

The Pack trailed 7-0 before getting on the board in the seventh against reliever Daniel Colwell. Billy Ham and Jackson Waller each singled to put two on with one out, setting up Nolan Wilson's two-run double down the left-field line.

Cal (13-15) shut down any hopes of a Wolf Pack comeback in the bottom half of the seventh, capitalizing on a Nevada error and getting three run-scoring doubles in a seven-run frame to put things out of reach.

Cal led 5-0 by the end of the second inning. The Golden Bears loaded the bases with one out in the first on a pair of walks and a hit batsman, then Peyton Schulze delivered a two-run double off of Wolf Pack starter Alejandro Murillo to make it 2-0.

It would be Murillo's only inning of work, and he took his second loss of the season to fall to 1-2.

Easton Marks came on for the second, but once again Cal loaded the bases with one out without the aid of a hit. A one-out error, followed by a walk and another hit batsman set the table for Rodney Green Jr.'s double down the line in right, scoring Jack Johnston and Max Handron. Kade Kretzschmar followed with a sacrifice fly to up the Golden Bear lead to five.
