Nevada sweeps doubleheader against Stonehill

MIAMI, Fla. - Nevada dominated the day with two shutout games against Stonehill Saturday afternoon. 

Nevada 11 - Stonehill 0 

Nevada dominated the first game with another shutout game against Stonehill, with an 11-0 score. 

Aaliyah Jenkins, Haylee Engelbrecht, and Charli Hawkins tallied two hits, including a home run each. Hawkins knocked four runs in the game, while Engelbrecht and Jenkins registered two and one, respectively. 

Bridgette Gilliano registered a deep double that cleared the bases for the Pack in the bottom of the fourth inning to extend the lead and close the game 11-0. Tatum Maytorena also registered a double in the game. 

Brooklyn Trujillo-Quintana was the starter in the circle for the Pack. Trujillo-Quintana played a complete game with only two hits allowed. The graduate student is strikeout two players. 

Nevada 8 - Stonehill 0 

The Pack took another shutout win against the Skyhawks with an 8-0 score. Tyra Clary recorded the win for the Pack with only one hit allowed while striking out six players. 

Chelie Senini, Gabby Herrera, and Haylee Engelbrecht registered two hits each. Engelbrecht and Herrera tallied two home runs each in the game. The freshman's performance concluded in four RBI, while the junior had three. Jenkins, Hawkins, Painter, and Clark also registered a hit for the Pack.

Nevada will play in the championship game against Stony Brook on Sunday at 7 a.m. PT.
