PORTLAND, Ore. – Nevada closes the weekend with a 5-2 loss to Portland Saturday afternoon.

The Pilots put up two dominating matches in doubles play, capturing the doubles point over Nevada. Iva Zelic and Sally Pethybridge took
Mariana Campino and Amahée Charrier 6-0 at No. 1 while Rimona Rouf and Aleks Dimitrijevic defeated
Lou-Anne Guerbert and
Anastasia Luneva 6-4 at No. 2 to take the lead going into singles action.

In singles play, Nevada struck first, Guerbert picking up a win at No. 3 over Rouf 6-3, 6-2. Portland took the next match at No. 2, Pethybridge defeating Campino 6-2, 6-l, while Charrier secured another point for the Pack at No. 1. Charrier took Zelic 6-3 in the first set and bounced back after a 3-6 loss in the second set to win the third set, 6-0. Â

Coming down to the last three matches, the Pilots and the Wolf Pack were all tied up at 2-2, before all three singles matches went to Portland. Rubio took Moutama at No. 6 6-4, 6-2, while at No. 5, Pearson defeated Boubaker 6-2, 7-5. At No. 4, Luneva battled against Portland's Dimitrijevic before ultimately falling in the first set 7-6 and in the second set 6-4.

Nevada will be back in action February 25 in Stockton, California against Pacific. First serve is set for 12:00 P.M.
