RENO, Nev. – Nevada track and field announces the signing of jumper Meekness Dogonyaro for the 2024 season.
Â
"We are so excited to have Meekness joining our program," said associate head coach
Scott Williamson. "She is a wonderful young lady who has very high aspirations athletically and academically and will make an immediate impact on our program as we strive to win championships."
Â
Dogonyaro will come to Reno from Kaduna, Nigeria, specializing in the jumping events. Her personal best mark of 12.95 in the triple jump would put her amongst some of the top all-time marks at Nevada. She achieved these marks last summer at the Lagos Athletics Series League Finals.
Â
She will be joining coach
Scott Williamson's group of jumpers, with recent addition this fall Swedish native Stina Larrson, and plans to study kinesiology while at Nevada.
