BOISE, Idaho – Nevada volleyball fell to the Boise State Broncos 3-0 Saturday afternoon at Bronco Gym, moving to 4-13 overall and 0-6 in Mountain West play.

Leading the Pack offense,
Nicanora Clarke tallied nine kills and three digs, while
Gabby McLaughlin recorded eight kills and five digs.
Tehya Maeva registered 13 assists and
Jaclyn Sanchez had 11 assists on the match.

This matchup between the Pack and Broncos marks the 69
th of all time, with Boise State leading the series 38-30 overall and holds a home record of 17-15 in Bronco Gym. Last season, both squads split the year, each winning on the road by 3-1 scores.

The Broncos started off strong going on a 5-2 run over the Pack to jump up to a 7-3 lead early in the first set. Boise State's offense continued their momentum to lead the set by seven over Nevada 12-5 after two attack errors by the Pack's McLaughlin. Nevada came within five points after back-to-back errors from the Broncos, but Boise State went on a 9-0 scoring run to extend their lead and take the set 25-11 over the Pack, going up 1-0 on the match.

Boise State started off the second set just like the first, going up 3-0 quickly over the Pack with back-to-back service aces by Anabel Kotzakov and an error on Nevada. The Pack fired back, tying things up at 5-5 a piece as Liilii and Clarke responded with two kills in a row to keep it a close set. The Broncos went on a 3-0 scoring run to jump up by three, but Nevada continued to respond with kills from Clarke and McLaughlin to come within two of the Broncos 9-7 lead. Nevada forced Boise State to call timeout after a 5-0 run by the Pack allowed the squad to take their first lead of the match, going up 12-10. Coming back from the timeout, Boise State went on 5-1 run to regain their lead over Nevada 15-13 with help from Bella McGirr securing the Broncos' sixth service ace of the match. The Broncos and the Pack rallied back and forth, Nevada hitting back-to-back kills from Snyder and McLaughlin, who reached her fifth kill of the match, causing Boise State to call timeout, Nevada coming within two at 21-19. A 4-1 Wolf Pack scoring run allowed things to be tied up once again late in the set at 22-22. The Broncos reached set point with Paige Bartsch's ninth kill of the evening, and a called attack error on Nevada gave Boise State the second set victory 26-24.

Looking to keep this match alive to avoid the sweep, Nevada took the early 4-1 lead over the Broncos. Boise State answered back, going on a 6-0 run to lead 10-7, forcing the Pack to call timeout. During the run, the Broncos earned two more service aces, both by Elle Cotton, giving Boise State their 10
th of the match. A 6-2 Boise State scoring run gave the Broncos a seven-point lead 17-10, forcing another Wolf Pack timeout. After the timeout, Boise State continued to run away with their lead, going up by eight over the Pack 20-12. The Broncos would ultimately secure the set 25-14, completing the sweep over Nevada 3-0.
