NSN to broadcast Nevada men's basketball game Saturday at San Jose State

Nevada Sports Net will broadcast the Wolf Pack men's basketball team's road game Saturday at San Jose State.

That game is in addition to the previously scheduled 12-game package of Wolf Pack men's games announced earlier this season.

Nevada (13-3, 3-0 Mountain West) will play upstart San Jose State (11-5, 2-1 MW) at Provident Credit Union Event Center at 1 p.m. The game will be produced by San Jose State with Spartans play-by-play man Justin Allegri on the call. NSN is picking up that feed for the local Northern Nevada audience. The game also will stream for free on NevadaSportsNet.com/watch.

"We are excited to add another road game to our Nevada men's basketball broadcast schedule," NSN director of operations, Anthony Resnick, said. "Broadcasting 12 of Nevada's 31 non-conference game shows our dedication to bringing high-quality live local action to Wolf Pack fans across Northern Nevada."

Nevada and SJSU were picked to finish ninth and 10th, respectively, out of 11 teams in the preseason MW poll. Both have been major surprises in the conference. Nevada leads the MW with a 3-0 league mark and has already tied its win total from last season (13). SJSU's 11 wins are its second most in any season since 2011-12 (the Spartans won 14 games in 2016-17).

During the 2022-23 athletic season, NSN has already broadcast nine Wolf Pack men's basketball games with four games remaining, including MW contests against Boise State (Jan. 17), San Jose State (Feb. 21) and UNLV (March 4). Thus far this year, NSN has broadcast four Nevada football games, nine men's basketball games, four volleyball matches and three women's basketball games. At least eight Wolf Pack basketball games (three men's, five women's) will still be broadcast this year.

In Northern Nevada, NSN is available over the air on channel 21; Charter channel 787 in HD or 7 in SD; DirecTV and Dish Network on channel 21; or on AT&T U-verse channel 1021 in HD or 21 in SD. The games can be seen over the air in the following counties: Washoe, Carson, Humboldt, Churchill, Pershing, Douglas, Lyon, Mineral, Lassen, Lander and Eureka.
