SAN DIEGO, Calif. -Â Nevada dropped the match against San Diego State, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon.
Kayla Afoa led the Pack offense with 10 kills. The Honolulu native also recorded 13 digs, four service aces, one assist, and one block assist.
Freshman Bella Snyder made an impressive performance at the net by recording a season-high of 7 block assists in the match. Snyder also registered five kills in the match.
Senior Andrea Alcaraz registered 21 assists, 10 digs, one service ace, and one block assist.
How it happened
The first two sets belonged to the San Diego State Aztecs with a score of 25-16 and 25-22. Nevada started with the lead in both games, but they couldn't stop the Aztecs from reversing the scoreboard.
The Pack stopped the shutdown by winning the third set, 25-20, after a six-score run in the middle of the scoreboard that extended the lead for the squad to win the set.
The Aztecs responded with a 26-24 win, after being down 15-10, to close the match 3-1.
