RENO, Nev. – Nevada football's Oct. 7 matchup against Colorado State will be the "Blackout Game," presented by Great Clips. The Wolf Pack are set to suit up in all-black uniforms with silver helmets for the 7:30 p.m. Friday kickoff at Mackay Stadium.
Fans are also encouraged to wear black, and those fans and students in attendance will receive black rally towels.

In conjunction with the Blackout game Nevada Athletics will be recognizing a week-long effort for Mental Health Awareness in partnership with Hilinksi's Hope starting Monday, Oct. 3. Student-Athletes and Ken and Heather Wilson will share the importance of mental health throughout the game with the end of the third quarter being a moment of silence.
The University of Nevada, Reno's counseling services provides personalized culturally-responsive mental health services, training, and outreach to the University community. Hilinski's Hope Foundation is a non-profit organization formed to promote awareness and education of mental health and wellness for student athletes. The Foundation's mission is to educate, advocate, and eliminate the stigma associated with mental illness, while funding programs that provide student-athletes with the tools and resources that support their mental health and wellness.
Giveaways for the "Blackout Game" will include rally towels. In-game groups and recognitions from our teams will include Nevada Swim and Dive and Women's Golf. The football team will wear green ribbons on their helmets in honor of mental health awareness.
