Jerry & Roxie Enneking Named Jake Lawlor Award Recipients

RENO, Nev. – Longtime Wolf Pack supporters Jerry and Roxie Enneking have been named the 2022 recipient of the University of Nevada's prestigious Jake Lawlor Award.

The award is named after the legendary Wolf Pack coach and athletics director Jake Lawlor and is given annually to individuals who have consistently demonstrated unwavering support of Wolf Pack Athletics. The award was presented to the couple at the 53rd annual Governor's Dinner last night at the Governor's Mansion in Carson City.

The Ennekings made their first gift to Nevada Athletics in 2000 and have achieved 22 years of consecutive giving to the Wolf Pack. Their gifts have supported every aspect of athletics, including capital projects like the Ramon Sessions Basketball Performance Center and scholarships for student-athletes.

They also give frequently to sport-specific clubs like the Blitz, Starting Five and Center Court and are proud supporters of Wolf Pack Women's Athletics.  The Ennekings attend home events for nearly every sport and hold season tickets for many sports, including men's and women's basketball, volleyball, football, and baseball.

The couple has also supported cheer and the Pride of the Sierra Marching Band as well as colleges and capital projects on campus including the E.L. Wiegand Fitness Center and the William N. Pennington Engineering Building.

Since 1980, the University of Nevada has issued its highest honor, the Jake Lawlor Award, every year at the Governor's Dinner. This year's dinner featured Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Rebecca Lobo, the first female speaker in the 53-year history of the event, as part of the University of Nevada's on-going celebration of the 50th anniversary of Title IX and Wolf Pack Women's Athletics.
