RENO, Nev. - Sophomore Chelie Senini put herself on the Mountain West record book for most stolen bases in a season on the 6-3 loss against New Mexico on Sunday afternoon.
Senini recorded one stolen base during the game and is now 40-42 in the season. The previous record was set in 2019 by McKenzie Wilson (Fresno State) with 39 stolen bases.Â
The Reno native also holds the school record with 70 stolen bases in her Wolf Pack career. Senini even scored a run after a wild pitch by the Lobos and tallied a hit in today's game.
Sophomore Blake Craft recorded the loss for the squad after playing three innings. Craft gave up four hits, four runs (four earned), and struck out five before sophomore Tyra Clary stepped in the circle to close the game. Clary gave up two hits, two runs (two earned), and struck out one.Â
Offensively, the Pack was led by sophomore Mia Misasi with two hits. Sam Oliver hit a two-RBI double in the bottom of the first to put the Pack on the scoreboard. Danielle Lew, Alycia Coats, and Charli Hawkins also tallied one hit during the game.Â
