FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Nevada dropped first game against Colorado State 16-4 on Friday afternoon.
Sophomore
Blake Craft recorded the loss for the Pack. Craft gave up three hits and three runs (three earned) before
Tyra Clary came to relief. Clary gave up six hits, five runs (three earned), and one strikeout.Â
Makayla Webber also made appearance in the circle and gave up eight hits, eight runs, and two strikeouts.
Nevada took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning after a home run by
Alycia Coats (2-3) that scored
Mia Misasi from second. The hit was Coats fourth home run of the season. The Rams took the lead after scoring three runs in the bottom of the first. Colorado State extended the lead after adding 11 runs in the second and third inning. The Pack was able to add two runs in the top of the fourth after
Chelie Senini (2-3) reached second on a throwing error by the Rams that scored
Danielle Lew and
Sam Oliver.
Charli McLendon tallied a hit in the top of the fifth but was left on base. The Rams closed the game 16-4 after scoring two runs in the bottom of the fourth.
