Nevada adds transfer Jordan Cruz

RENO, Nev. – Nevada Women's Basketball announced the addition of wing player Jordan Cruz (Sacramento, Calif. / Pacific / Utah / C.K. McClatchy HS) Wednesday.

Cruz, who played the past three seasons at Pacific after spending her first two years at Utah, will have one year of eligibility remaining.

"We are so excited to welcome Jordan to our Pack," said Nevada head coach Amanda Levens. "She has a winning mentality and veteran experience. Jordan is a fantastic shooter, scorer and understands the defensive end of the floor. Our community will be excited to see Jordan impact our team next season."

As a redshirt senior in 2021-22, Cruz appeared in 24 games with 14 starts for Pacific. She led the Tigers with 41 3-pointers, and averaging 6.8 points over 19.6 minutes per game with FG/3FG/FT percentages of 31.8/33.3/85.2. She twice scored 20 points for the Tigers, first Nov. 22 against Texas A&M Corpus Christi then Feb. 7 against San Diego.

Over her three seasons in Stockton, Cruz played in 45 games, making 15 starts. She transferred to Pacific after two years at Utah, where she redshirted her freshman season (2017-18) then appeared in nine games as a redshirt freshman in 2018-19.

Cruz prepped at C.K. McClatchy High School in Sacramento, where she was a three-time team Most Valuable Player and helped lead the team to the 2015 CIF Division I title.

Cruz joins a Wolf Pack program which went 20-13 overall and 11-6 in Mountain West play in 2021-22, posting its first 20-win season since 2010-11. The Pack made its second postseason appearance under Levens, reaching the third-place game of the 2022 Women's Basketball Invitational.
